Aloud

Showroom and office for the company Aloud on Birger Jarlsgatan in Stockholm. Aloud are experts on smart overall solutions in light, sound and technology for homes, hotels and stores.  The project was a close collaboration with the company where we together came up with creative solutions and details for their new office/showroom. The feeling you get when you step into the showroom is a mix of home and hotel; a comfortable and warm atmosphere where all hi-technology solutions are neatly hidden from sight. We put a lot of effort on creating the right acoustics by designing a special type of ceiling and floor with several layers. Small products are displayed in showcases designed by us, almost like presenting jewellery with a big respect for the products. Architecturally the inspiration comes from loft apartments in New York, the French architect Pierre Chareau and his way of working with steel as well as modernistic geometry and colours from the Bauhaus movement and Russian constructivism.
